Responsibilities:
- Prepare samples by dissecting sputtering targets from manufacturing or clients, sawing, cutting, and polishing to prep for testing.
- Perform laboratory testing, including microscope analysis, chemical testing, and physical testing (hardness, tensile, strength).
- Conduct X-ray diffractions.
- Set up equipment, assemblies, and experiments.
- Collect data per work instructions or experimental plans.
- Prepare reports with data and analysis.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific field such as Chemistry, Materials Science, or similar. May consider candidates with an Associates Degree as well.
- Some industry experience would be a PLUS!
- Must be mechanically aptitude. (can be outside a lab setting)
