The candidate will utilize Perturb-map spatial functional genomics (Dhainaut et al. Cell 2022, Mollaoglu et al. Cell 2024) to determine how different receptors and ligands control ovarian and breast tumor growth, immune cell composition and response to immunotherapy. The goal of the project will be to identify therapeutic targets for enhancing immune-mediated elimination of metastatic ovarian and breast cancers including dormant cancer cells. Technical Duties: (include any protocols) Perform independent research in the area of tumor biology, including the application of spatial functional genomics to study factors contributing to tumor microenvironment composition. Studies will involve Pro-Code/CRISPR library generation, multiplex imaging, flow cytometry, spatial transcriptomics, mechanistic gene knockout studies, and therapeutic intervention experiments. Analysis of small and large datasets, working collaboratively with computational biologists.
