Summary:
Responsible for lab pack processing, drum receiving/coding, or shipping of hazardous waste materials. Must demonstrate full working knowledge in at least two of these areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Lab Pack Processing: Code and consolidate chemicals for disposal; manage reactive materials; complete related paperwork.
Drum Receiving/Coding: Sample and analyze drums; assign disposal codes; ensure compliance with QA/QC standards.
Shipping: Prepare and coordinate outbound shipments; ensure proper profiles, labels, and paperwork.
Support logistics and inventory management
Help maintain a clean and compliant work environment
Assist in training Chemist I staff
Qualifications:
High school diploma with technical training or 1 year of college
35 years of relevant experience
40-hour OSHA certification
Strong understanding of chemistry, safety, and computer systems
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, and reaching
Must have good vision, color perception, and hearing
Ability to climb ladders and operate a forklift
