Job Description

Summary

You will serve as an Interdisciplinary Lead Materials Engineer/Lead Chemist in the Quality Assurance Department, Scientific Services Division of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY , BANGOR .

Duties

+ You will distribute, balance, assign, assist and monitor the workload among analysts who provide timely and accurate chemical analysis and mechanical testing services to the command and its customers.

+ You will be responsible for the administrative and technical management of service contracts, capabilities planning, scientific instrument procurement and obsolescence planning, scientific instruments and standards calibration.

+ You will be responsible for capabilities planning, scientific instrument procurement, obsolescence planning, scientific instruments, and standards calibration.

+ You will be responsible for property management, new technologies evaluation, new processes development, and chemical hygiene program oversight.

+ You will manage and facilitate laboratory operations through a multidisciplinary and professional team of chemists and materials engineers.

+ You will be responsible for leading the implementation and maintenance of the laboratory quality assurance program in accordance with ISO / IEC 17025 requirements.
