Production Operator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will work with other production operators, running lines, and making batches for customers. This role involves managing raw material inventory, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring operational efficiency. Responsibilities Issue silver for batches. Help complete material and maintenance verifications. Assist in troubleshooting material and process issues. Coordinate efforts to pre-plan and stage for the next day. Prioritize operator tasks according to release dates on the Open Order Report. Assign repacks to operators to complete before shipping deadlines. Help QC Lab in troubleshooting production-related issues and be involved with the corrective action process. Help manage raw material inventory and cycle counting. Perform or assign others to complete cycle counting monthly. Perform year-end inventory. Review fast-moving or critical inventory items weekly; order as necessary. Help maintain critical material list. Work with QC to ensure critical items are prioritized for testing to meet the production schedule. Attend daily production meetings. Become a Subject Matter Expert in Production processes. Understand all major production processes and be familiar with the company's major process lines. Understand material chemistries and have a fundamental understanding of all processes, materials, and equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing environment Handling production equipment Experience in chemical manufacturing Work Environment You will work in a clean manufacturing environment, operating on a single shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, with 10-hour days (6:30 am - 5 pm). Some Fridays may be required for catch-up, approximately once a month. The role involves working on lines, moving materials, and handling larger scale batch processing, including drums and pallets of powder. The facility employs about 50 people. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
