Currently enjoying our 27th year in business, SynQuest Labs specializes in fluorinated organic and inorganic chemicals, providing a creative and innovative range of building blocks, reagents, and compressed & liquefied gases. We continue to maintain a focus on fluorine chemistry, even as our company has grown and broadened our manufacturing & R&D capabilities with the development of new products.
SynQuest Labs (SQL) was the brainchild of 2 fluorine chemists who saw a gap in the chemical manufacturing market for fluorine chemicals and filled that niche.
In 2002, SQL became part of the Central Glass Group. This group includes our parent company Central Glass Co., LTD in Japan, which has over 70 years experience in commercially producing a wide range of fluorochemical products, including trifluoromethanesulfonic acid; Central Glass Germany, a world-class GMP facility dedicated to process development, up scaling, and the production of active ingredients and intermediates for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry; and Apollo Scientific in England, a leading supplier and manufacturer of research chemicals, with a particular strength in aromatic fluorochemistry and heterocyclic building blocks. We work closely with our parent/sister companies, supporting each other through the production and marketing of our combined product ranges. Together, we can offer customers a seamless transition from small scale laboratory research and pilot scale (SQL), through to full commercialization (CGG/J).

(Pre-Covid) We hold various events both around and outside the office, including monthly anniversary and birthday celebrations, milestone anniversary ceremonies, a summer picnic, Bowling Nights, quarterly Business-after-Business events, appreciation breakfasts, Lunch-n-Learns, holiday contests and bake-offs, and a holiday party, just to name a few! We hope to get back to these in the future, but right now our main focus is maintaining the health and safety of all our employees as we navigate this unprecedented time.
