Chemical Technician Jobs in Idaho
A Chemical Technician, in the chemistry industry, is an essential professional responsible for performing experiments, running laboratory tests, maintaining lab equipment, and compiling results for data analysis. They use techniques such as analytical, physical, inorganic, and organic chemistry to conduct these tests. These professionals also assist chemists and chemical engineers in research, development, and production. They have a host of duties including preparing chemical solutions, testing product durability, and documenting their findings for future reference. To be a successful Chemical Technician, one must have a strong background in chemistry and other sciences, good analytical skills, and attention to detail. Important certifications include a degree in Chemical Technology or a related field and an optional certification from the American Chemical Society (ACS). The ACS certification provides a standard of excellence recognized by many employers. These roles provide valuable experience in conducting experiments, handling lab equipment, and dealing with chemical substances.
